Inspiration

Inspiration for the product came from Being John Malkovich. I first told our idea to our teacher and they suggested looking at being john Malkovich. Looking at the film it shows aspects of what I would like to achieve in our film.

The film Un Chien Andalou also gave inspiration in the short film it has a scene where the male actor is duplicated during the film where he appears as his father.

Being john Malkovich scene where he visits himself gives a sense of a very surreal world where even the women look like john Malkovich.

Un Chein Andalou will inspire by the surreal world with the multiple characters. Being John Malkovich will inspire with the scene where he meets himself and is confused by what is happening.



The target audience for our product is people are in there teens/twenties this is because it will be a teen male actor that they can relate to in a way. The reason we chose to have this target audience is because we feel that this film would be something that this age group would watch.

Todorov’s theory of equilibriums

An upset from the start which is that everyone is him and he doesn’t know what is going on. The new equilibrium will be when he wakes up and everything is back to normal. Looking at being John Malokvich you can see the use of Propp’s Theory
